Trips and Activities

Our favorite times of the year are when we take the students on trips and various other activities. This provides an incredible opportunity to get to know the students on a more personal level, as well as to make many wonderful memories!
We usually go to New York City during our Spring Break, and we have visited several other cities and states, as well, throughout the years, including Kansas City MO, Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX and Disney World in Florida.
We, of course, take the students to do many local activities around the Wichita area, as well. Our city has several movie theaters, including the largest IMAX theater in the United States, various indoor and outdoor shopping malls, a number of bowling alleys, two beautiful and interactive zoos, and many restaurants to choose from.

Wichita is a great city for International students. It is the perfect small, big city with a population of over 600,000 people. It is extremely safe and has many things to do. In addition to the information listed above, the heart of the city is located along the Arkansas River. Host Families

We have several host families anxiously waiting to welcome your student into their home. We have an orientation with every host family and work closely with them to make sure both families and students have a fun and positive experience.

Dorms

We have beautiful student housing with friendly staff, secure surroundings and transportation to school and all school events. Your student will interact daily with other students from many different cultures and all around the world.

Religion

Life Prep Academy is a Christian-based school, however, we welcome students from all (or no) religious backgrounds. We enjoy sharing and learning about other religions and cultures.
